Psalms: Worshipping God Through Every Season of the Soul
If we're honest, we often don't know how to approach God, and we're left before Him without words. We are at a loss, especially through seasons of doubt, despair, pain, and sorrow. If you don't know how to pray (and most of us struggle to do so), you can pray the Psalms. It's a book of prayers that were written to be sung. We no longer have the music but we have the lyrics and they are as powerful and as relevant as when they were first written. Perhaps we no longer have the music because you and I are meant to bring our own voice, the song of our lives, to these prayers. The Psalms teach us how to worship God through every season of the soul – through times of waiting, questioning, despair, depression, joy, and surrender. Each week we will highlight a certain psalm, while reading through all of them together throughout the summer. Follow the reading plan and don't miss a week as we gather to worship God through the Psalms this summer.
