Soul Liberty: Freedom to Follow Christ

This message from Romans 14 explores the Baptist conviction of soul liberty — the God-given freedom and responsibility of every person to respond to God personally. Faith cannot be inherited, borrowed, or imposed by someone else. Each person must ultimately decide what they will do with Christ.
Paul reminds us that this freedom comes with personal accountability. One day, each of us will stand before God and give an account of ourselves. At the same time, soul liberty calls us to extend grace when sincere believers reach different conclusions on secondary matters, recognizing the difference between convictions that are central to our faith and preferences that should not divide us.
This message challenges us to keep Christ at the center. Rather than allowing differences of opinion or tradition to separate us, we are called to unite around Jesus, respect the conscience of others, and faithfully follow him with humility, conviction, and grace.
