This message from Ephesians 4:1–6 reminds us that unity in the church is not something we create, but something we are called to actively protect and pursue. Paul points to four qualities that shape this kind of life together: humility, gentleness, patience, and bearing with one another in love.
These virtues run counter to a culture that values self-promotion and independence. Instead, we are called to reflect Christ in how we treat one another, growing in grace and maturity as we walk together in faith. True spiritual health is seen not just in what we do, but in who we are becoming.
This message challenges us to take unity seriously — not passively, but with intentional effort — as we welcome others, embrace diversity, and reflect the character of God. In doing so, we become a community that displays the beauty of the gospel to the world.
