What the Bible says

“for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; …" 1 Chronicles 29:11-1

Giving is an act of worship. True worship begins when you realize that everything you have (your time, talents, possessions, etc.) belongs to God.

Before you give, ask yourself these questions:

How should my attitude be?
God wants you to be CHEERFUL (full of good spirits; ungrudging)

“Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a CHEERFUL giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

What is my responsibility?

God calls you to be His good STEWARD (one entrusted with another’s wealth)

“With the help of the Holy Spirit who lives within us, carefully guard what has been ENTRUSTED to you.” 2 Timothy 1:14

Where should my financial priorities be?
God’s provision to you is a TREASURE (something of great wealth or value) to be used for His purposes

“Do not store up for yourselves TREASURES on earth . . . But store up for yourselves TREASURES in heaven . . . For where you TREASURE is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21
