The Church is a family, not an event. The Bible refers to member of the church as “brothers and sisters”. In many ways relationships in the church run deeper than those in one’s own biological family, because believers are united in Christ at a deep, spiritual level. Because the church is a family, it functions as one. This has powerful implications for every member. The church as family is a powerful and loving bond of people who are one in Christ. They become an impenetrable force against the darkness in our city and around the world.
