The Parables of Jesus: Gardening with God - The Parable of the Sower

Our receptivity to God’s Word determines our spiritual growth. Gardening with God means we partner with Him, but allowing His truth to transform us. Our role is to receive it and to allow it to change us through our obedience. This parable is about the reception of God’s Word, that it is determined by the condition of our hearts. Salvation is more than simply hearing of the Gospel. Someone who is truly saved will go on to prove it and long for more of God’s truth to penetrate their hearts and guide their lives. May our faith and our lives exemplify the "good soil" in the Parable of the Sower.
