Revelation // The Hero to the Rescue // Dr. Jeff Warren

The introduction of the hero in any fairy tale sets the stage for what kind of story it is. In many stories it is a brave knight or warrior prince who strives valiantly to set the captives free and rescue the damsel in distress. In Revelation, the hero is both a Lion and a Lamb (5:5-6). He is the one who is chosen to open the seal on the scroll that will bring about the end of all things and the ultimate rescue of his bride, the Church. This makes him worthy of worship by all in heaven and earth for all time. (5:9-14)
