Christ is making all things new- and He has done so in our lives, through His finished work on the Cross. We could look at the story of the Wise Men and the gifts they brought to Jesus. What gifts will you bring to Him in the coming year?
Following the Christmas story is the story of the Magi coming to present Jesus with gifts. The gifts they brought were gifts for royalty. They recognized Jesus as the King. Their gifts were an act of worship and adoration. You could say their gifts reflected their hearts. Everyone worships something. Where are your gifts going? Who is your King? And what will you bring to your King? In the coming year, what gifts will seek? And to whom will you give them? Will you store up for yourself treasures on this earth or will you store up treasures in heaven?
