When we come to Jesus He gives us a new identity in Him- we are no longer defined by our performance or the approval of others, but instead by Christ and what He has done for us. This shift is radical and shows itself in the way others see us as well.
We will look at Paul’s radical shift in his identity after conversion. He was rooted in Christ and it defined him and led him to live courageously and lovingly. Look at relationship with the Church immediately following his conversion (Acts 9:10-31). His new identity leads him away from using his gifts to persecute the church to bring glory to God.
