When we come to Christ we enter into a new family unlike we’ve ever known before.
Paul left his family of Pharisees and Jewish influencers- a tight-knit homogenous family- and entered into an ever-expanding diverse (and rather messy) family that included Peter, Barnabas, John Mark, even Philemon. The family of God is a diverse, grace-filled family that continues to expand beyond it’s borders to people who are not like us. What does this new family look like? How are we to live in it? Why join a church?
Paul had a dramatic conversion experience and found himself in a brand new family of believers.
