On October 31, 1517, a little-known priest named Martin Luther wrote down 95 grievances that he had with the Catholic Church and nailed them on the front door of the church in Wittenburg, Germany. This move sparked what we know as the Protestant Reformation. "The Reformation" was a rediscovery of the major beliefs of orthodox Christianity. This year, 2017, marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.
