Ministry Strategy: Worship
Throughout our lives, human beings develop important rhythms and habits based on what we truly value. A church is no different! Our strategy is simply a blueprint for practically living out what matters to us as a church. It is a model, not a mandate; a charter, not a checklist. By participating consistently in these liturgies as a church family, we believe God will bring us closer together in faith and purpose. Here, we’ll focus on just one aspect of our ministry strategy: Worship.
What do we mean by worship?
Worship is simply another way of describing the act of regularly and intentionally submitting our minds, hearts, and will to God alone. Worship is a posture of awe, gratitude, and observance that recognizes that God is at work in every corner of our lives and our world.
Worship isn’t limited to singing—it encompasses all of our daily life and work. Making beautiful art is worship. Faithfully caring for children and the elderly is worship. Honoring your marriage by investing in it daily is worship. All of life—lived unto God and His glory—is worship.
Corporate worship is no different. By gathering regularly together to worship as a church, we are affirming with other believers that God is our center, our reason for being.
Why is corporate worship important?
God uses corporate worship—prayer, music and singing, and hearing God’s word preached-- to reorient our hearts to what really matters and to remind us that we can place all our hope in Him. It stitches us together as a community of different people with a common vision to serve and love Christ and one another. Meeting together invites us to practice a confident humility—knowing that we were never meant to go through life alone. The worship gatherings at PCBC exist to unify, challenge, and inspire people to follow Jesus every day with compassion and gratitude.
How do I make corporate worship a part of my life now?
Make space in your schedule to prioritize our Sunday worship opportunities. We encourage every member of PCBC to participate consistently in a weekly worship service. We offer a variety of times,
