PCBC has a heart for the world. From helping church partners in Latin America conduct Vacation Bible Schools to painting a school in Cambodia and supporting an explosive church-growth movement in India, God is using our church and our people for His glory.
“Every member of our church family has something to offer in service of others,” said Damon Berry, PCBC Minister of Missions.
“By taking part in missions, we have the chance to participate in healing and restoring the world through the Gospel of Christ.”
During 2016, more than 1,100 were involved in local ministry and more than 270 served on mission trips.
This year, PCBC will support 56 ministry partners, including ve missionaries and ve universities/seminaries, in 13 countries through financial contributions and by providing many opportunities for individuals and families to serve on short-term mission trips in a variety of locations.
With Acts 1:8 as our guide, we serve as Christ’s witness in three general areas:
- Jerusalem: The Dallas area
- Judea and Samaria: South Texas, the Caribbean, and Guatemala
- Ends of the Earth: South Asia, India, Cambodia, Bangladesh and other parts of Asia
In these areas, we support and participate in acts of compassion that show the love of Christ to others and create a foundation for lasting relationships; evangelism and planting churches that in turn plant other churches; and education and leadership training for pastors and other church leaders.
“Our goal is to use our time, talents and resources – as a church and as individuals and families – generously for Jesus,” said Rachel Kelton, PCBC Missions Committee Chair. “We want to make wise investments that create lasting changes in the lives of people in our community and around the world.”
