Young Adults

What is a young adult?

Find out about ethos

Whether you are a college student, a young professional, or a young married couple roughly in your 20's, the young adult ministry is for you. We are all about living out the kingdom of heaven on earth. We think Jesus and his teachings are revolutionary and will transform your life. These are the core values of the young adult ministry.

  • Gospel

The ‘gospel' is the good news that through Christ the power of God's kingdom has entered history to renew the whole world. This power is able to renew us when we believe and rely on Jesus and his work instead of our own merit or effort for our relationship with God. This gospel is the fundamental value for all that is done in our ministry.

  • Gospel-Shaped Teaching

In light of the great biblical illiteracy in our culture it is crucial for our young adults to have a strategic training environment that integrates the truth and story of Scripture with the real issues of life and culture so that they can learn how the gospel informs and renews every arena of life.

  • Gospel-Shaped Community

Because we believe that the power of the gospel for spiritual transformation is not cultivated in a vacuum or through acquisition of information alone, we hold up the value of biblical community. The gospel creates a new community whose way of life is a sign of God's coming kingdom. We believe life change happens best in a context of ‘shared life' where the practical application of the gospel to our lives is wrestled with and experienced in tangible ways.

  • Gospel-Shaped Mission

We are committed to the mission of the gospel which begins in our hearts and spans locally and globally. We think God has sovereignly placed us as individuals in our specific neighborhoods, jobs, schools and networks as missionaries to our own culture. As such we believe God has called us to labor as a community to see the gospel proclaimed and demonstrated through the work of evangelism, service and justice for both our local and global neighborhoods.
