Wednesday Worship for Kids
Join us on Wednesday nights during the school year for exciting opportunities to learn about God's love through music and missions! Music offers your child the opportunity to learn more about music and sing about God's love. Our Missions emphasis helps your child learn how the love of Jesus is shared in different cultures around the world.
Music
Children’s Choirs at PCBC
Children age two through sixth grade sing about God's love in choirs on Wednesday nights from 5:30-6:30 p.m., during the school year. Children age 2 by September 1st are to be accompanied by an adult. Call Beverly Golden at 214.860.1552 or e-mail her at bgolden@pcbc.org.
The Children's Choir theme this year is: “Saddle Up, Partner Up, and Hit the Trail for Jesus”.
- Saddle Up: God wants us to know Him. We will teach the children the importance of growing in a relationship with God through Bible study, prayer and worship.
- Partner Up: God placed each of us in a family and a church. We should use our talents to serve one another.
- Hit the Trail: We are to tell others about Jesus.
The choir leadership uses the medium of music to teach children about God and His love for them through His Son, Jesus. We will help your child discover his God given musical gifts and how to glorify His name through worship and witness. It is our prayer that your child will be drawn into a personal relationship with Jesus as they learn more about Him.
Our theme verse this year in PCBC Children’s Choirs is:
Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men, knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord – you serve the Lord Christ.” (Colossians 3:23-24).
Missions
Children learn how the love of Jesus is shared in different cultures around the world on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30 p.m. during the school year.
Mission Friends (ages 4-6)
Mission Friends is for children ages 4-6. In Mission Friends, PreK and Kindergarten children develop missions attitudes and concepts, become aware of God's love for all people, realize that others need to hear about Jesus, learn of missions work and missionaries in North America and around the world and learn the joy of praying for and giving to missions. Call Brenda Palmer at 214.860.1584 or email her at bmpalmer@pcbc.org.
Royal Ambassadors (RA's) boys in grades 1-6
The primary focus of the Royal Ambassador program (RAs) at PCBC is to help first through sixth grade boys know about the missions work of Southern Baptists around the world, and how each boy may have a personal role in missions throughout his life in his "own backyard" and beyond-to understand and be involved in God's mission to further His Kingdom. Call Brenda Palmer at 214.860.1584 or email her at bmpalmer@pcbc.org.
Girls in Action (GA's) girls in grades 1-6
GA's learn about Bible heroes and missions leaders who share God's love with others through their words and actions. They will use futuristic gadgets and work on "undercover" assignments and engage in God's mission. The girls will also participate in Live Action Projects that minister to others.
