Go. Share. Be Involved.

Go build relationships.

Share Christ’s love.

Be involved in God’s work.

Park Cities Baptist Church has a strong history of serving the Vickery community of Dallas. Vickery is located between Greenville Avenue, Park Lane, Northwest Highway, and Skillman Road.  A generous financial gift from the Wise family was given for mission efforts in Vickery. The Wise Trust Committee was created to oversee the use of that gift and coordinate ministry by PCBC in Vickery. This wonderful gift has enabled PCBC to strengthen its focus and commitment for reaching the community for Christ.  Sam Silva, through our partnership with Buckner, is coordinating our efforts and working within the community to build alliances and mobilize PCBC in Vickery.

The mission of PCBC and the Wise Trust Committee is to build relationships and meet needs in Vickery in order to share the love of Christ and engage people from Vickery in worship and Bible study at PCBC.  Every ministry, ranging from ESL classes to mentoring, seeks to share Christ’s love.  As Christians, we are asking God to move in this community and work through us to bring new believers into God’s kingdom.

God is at work.  Families from Vickery are now regularly attending worship and Bible Study at PCBC. God continues to use PCBC volunteers to build relationships by meeting needs through the ministries we are offering in Vickery.

We hope you will be involved with us in what God is doing in Vickery!

After School Enrichment Program at Jack Lowe Elementary

The After School Enrichment Program begins January 9, 2007 at Jack Lowe Elementary School in the Vickery neighborhood. Time: 3-6 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Volunteers are needed every Tuesday and Thursday. to help with homework and do special things with the children. "Special things" could be anything from playing sports/games with them to arts/crafts to music to computers to gardening---we are open to almost anything!

There will be 22 4th-5th graders in the program. We do have a director, Lorraine Lopez and are looking forward to many PCBC members being involved [in fact that is crucial to the program's success] on a weekly basis.

Please contact Alice Fant at 214-363-1959 or email: Alicelee456@aol.com or Meg York in the Missions Committee at 214-860-1537.
