Smart Parking Garage
What is a Smart Parking Garage?
PCBC’s “smart ” parking garage will be the second in the area with the latest technology for guiding parkers to an available parking space. The new International Terminal at D/FW Airport is the first in the area.
As you approach PCBC from the east and west along Northwest Highway and from the east on Villanova Drive, you will be guided by electronic signs showing the status of the parking garage (open, closed, full) At the entrance to the garage, Real Time information will be displayed on message signs letting you know the number of vacant parking spaces on each parking level. Signs within the garage will help you find the first available parking space.
“With this advanced technology, navigating through the garage levels will be simple and user-friendly. We are excited to offer this cutting edge equipment in our new facility.” said Greg Boyd, PCBC Construction Committee Chairman.
Parking Levels
There are three levels of the garage - the first level is called “P1,” the second is “P2, and the third is “P3.” Each level will have a color and a scripture verse that corresponds with it. The color and scripture markers are designed to help everyone remember what level they parked their car.
Where do I park?
Parking is available in our 3 level underground parking garage which is accessible from Northwest Highway and also from Villanova. The P1 level of the garage is handicapped accessible for vans and other automobiles. Other handicap parking spaces will be marked throughout the garage. On Sundays there will be volunteer parking garage attendants throughout the garage to assist with any questions. In addition, uniformed police officers will be located in front of the garage on Northwest Highway and on Villanova.
Concourse Connects
The Concourse will connect the P1 level of the parking garage to the Collins Building, to Ellis Parlor and then to the Main Building - all underground! The elevator in the Main Building will take you up to the Sanctuary level.
What about the parking spots around the church perimeter?
The parking lot on the west side of the campus by the Activities Building and the spaces on Villanova are designated as visitor and those with special needs parking. Some spaces on Villanova will still be marked handicap.
