Our Beliefs

Beliefs

In accordance with historical Baptist traditions, Park Cities Baptist Church is independent and autonomous. We do however, cooperate and seek mutual counsel with the Baptist General Convention of Texas, and other local, state and national Baptist organizations.

A brief expression of our beliefs includes:

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the rule and guide to our faith and practice.
  • Our church is part of the Body of Christ on earth and we acknowledge Jesus Christ as head of the Church.
  • We rely on Christ’s atoning sacrifice for justification and on Salvation that comes from Jesus Christ alone We depend on the Holy Spirit for sanctification.
  • We believe in the virgin birth of Christ, that He died for our sins, and that He was resurrected.
  • We believe in the Priesthood of each believer and of all believers.
  • We are committed to reaching a lost and hurting world and to cooperating with ministry partners.
  • We believe in the sanctity of human life.
  • We affirm the doctrinal statements set forth in “The Baptist Faith and Message” as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1963.

Vision

“To mobilize and leverage the people and unique resources of Park Cities Baptist Church – including spiritual gifts, professional expertise, education, financial blessing, and influence – by connecting individuals and groups with ministry opportunities and strategic ministry partners and communities in Dallas, the state of Texas, the United States, and the World in order to be a transformational presence by sharing the gospel and establishing reproducing churches to the glory of Jesus Christ.”

Purpose

The church's purpose is exalting Jesus Christ through worship by:

  • Evangelizing the lost
