Jerusalem locations are gospel centers – places where the church is strong and growing. We have identified the Dallas area as our Jerusalem. Here are some of the initiatives underway:
Vickery
What we do: PCBC partners with Kids Hope USA in a mentoring program in the Vickery area. PCBC members volunteer one hour per week during the school year with a student at Dan D. Rogers Elementary. Volunteers may choose the time and day for mentoring. Mentoring is a fun way to make a difference in a child’s life and have a one on one relationship.
Other activities throughout the year are: providing school supplies to children, distributing meals on Thanksgiving Day and giving children winter coats.
How You Can Be Involved: New mentor training is offered periodically during the school year. Information for all events will be posted in the Connect.

Fair Park - South Dallas
What we do: We work with Cornerstone Baptist Church and the Men of Nehemiah to minister to the people of the Fair Park area of South Dallas. PCBC has funded construction of a school at the church, and our church has built a shower facility for the homeless.
How You Can Be Involved: Prepare and feed the homeless, help with the shower unit and clothes closet. Help collect school supplies, clothes or help host an event.

Community Ministries
What we do: We work with local ministries, provide financial resources and engage PCBC members in local missions with various alternatives.
We work with many groups throughout Dallas, but here is a sampling of some that we do work with:
- ManPower is a group of PCBC men who provide handyman services and repairs for PCBC widows and single mothers.
- Healing Hands Ministries builds trust with families by providing reliable, effective, efficient medical and dental health care services.
- Dallas Christian Women’s Job Corp is dedicated to touching and changing lives by assisting women in becoming self-sufficient in a Christian context.
- Brother Bills Helping Hands works to enrich the lives of men, women and children in the community of West Dallas by empowering through learning, encouraging through relationships and ensuring the essentials of life.
How You Can Be Involved: We need volunteers to organize and facilitate events throughout the year, handymen to work with the ManPower group and people of all skill sets and interests to volunteer.
