God gives every believer one or more spiritual gifts and intends that these gifts be used for meaningful service. Park Cities strives to be a church where every member is a minister. The goal of Ministry Discovery is to help members discover their giftedness and find their unique place in ministry.
Discover your Giftedness
Spiritual gift(s) are given to every believer at his or her salvation. The purpose of these gifts according to Ephesians 4:12 is that “the body of Christ may be built up.” A spiritual gift assessment tool is available to help you understand your God-given gifts. This tool uses a series of questions about interests, experiences and self-perception in ministry to help you identify your individual gifts.

C.O.M.P.A.S.S. is an acronym used for detailing the various elements of giftedness used in ministry service. Each member is asked to submit a C.O.M.P.A.S.S. form for use in placing them in a ministry matching their giftedness.

There are several ways to explore what opportunities are available in the 100+ ministries at Park Cities Baptist Church. A comprehensive current listing is available on-line at Ministry Opportunities. Or you may obtain this same type information in a hardcopy catalog published annually – 2006/2007 Catalog. Both these references list volunteer opportunities by ministry area and by spiritual gift. For each ministry there is a contact person who can provide additional information to help you determine the appropriateness of the ministry for you.
