Married

The Married Adults Ministry of Park Cities, which consists of more than 1,000 married adults, includes all nearly-wed couples and all married couples up to the age of the 50+ Ministry. The Married Adults department is designed to reach and teach couples, and encourage them to follow Christ in every area of their lives. "Every person is a minister" is the church's ongoing theme. To support this vision, the Married Adults Ministry has opportunities to reach couples and help them mature to become all that God created them to be.

Couples' Sunday School classes are organized according to current life experience (years married, children/no children, age of children, etc.). There are also adult elective classes for all ages regardless of sex or marital status.

Throughout the year, the ministry sponsors couples' conferences at nearby hotels or retreat centers. In addition, there are also family conferences and workshops that help strengthen families.

Special Bible studies like ladies Bible study, M.O.P.S. (Mothers of preschoolers), men's Bible study and accountability groups offer married adults opportunities to grow in their faith. The Nearly-Wed Seminar , consisting of eleven week sessions, is offered each fall and spring in Ellis Parlor on Sunday mornings from 8:45-10:30 a.m. A weekend summer session is also offered. Qualified facilitators lead couples through key issues including: the Biblical foundation for marriage, couple's communication, finances, family, conflict resolution and in-laws. Each couple also takes the PREPARE Inventory and discusses the results with a certified leader. This is an excellent course for pre-engaged or engaged couples.

Growing Together in God's Love

Couples grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus while they develop in their relationships through activities planned just for them.

Programs Throughout the Year

Sunday Morning - Couples share and learn with other couples their own age or in elective classes for all ages about the relevance of Jesus' love in their lives and relationships. Sunday Morning - 9:20 and 10:50 a.m.

Nearly-Weds - An 11-week course, held twice a year, and a weekend workshop, held in the summer, helps engaged couples and couples considering marriage strengthen their relationships. 214.860.1542
