The Married Adults Ministry exists to help all people come to KNOW Christ, to GROW in Christ and to SHOW Christ to the world. Through Bible study classes, missions and outreach projects, social activities and special events, couples can spend time together in shared experiences and also connect with other couples who have similar interests and values.
The Married Adult Ministry of Park Cities, which consists of more than 2,000 married adults, includes all nearly-wed couples and all married couples up to the age of the 65+ Ministry. The Married Adult department is designed to reach and teach couples and encourage them to follow Christ in every area of their lives. Simply put, PCBC exists "to make disciples." To support this vision, the Married Adult Ministry encourages a healthy ministry cycle that includes acts of compassion, the formation of relationships, evangelistic opportunities, and discipleship.
Couples' Sunday morning Bible study classes are organized according to current life experience (years married, children/no children, age of children, etc.). There are also adult elective classes for all ages regardless of gender or marital status. Please see our list of Sunday classes.
Throughout the year, Faith@Home sponsors conferences, classes and seminars that strengthen and support two key components in the home: marriage and parenting. Our homes are our priority as we strengthen and encourage our marriages and parenting skills in order to impact the next generation.
Special Bible studies like ladies Bible study, M.O.P.S. (Mothers of Preschoolers), men's Bible study and accountability groups offer married adults opportunities to grow in their faith. To find out more information on how to get involved, contact Elizabeth Knight, Adult Ministry Assistant.
The Nearly-Wed Seminar , consisting of nine week sessions, is offered each fall and spring in Fellowship Hall on Sunday mornings from 10:45 am – 12:30 pm. A weekend summer session is also offered. Qualified facilitators lead couples through key issues, including: the Biblical foundation for marriage, couple's communication, finances, family, intimacy, expectations, conflict resolution and in-laws. Each couple also takes the PREPARE Inventory and discusses the results with a certified leader. This is an excellent course for pre-engaged or engaged couples.
