Dorothy Wilkinson

Minister to 50+/Coordinator of Needs-Based Ministries

Dorothy joined the staff of Park Cities Baptist Church in May, 2002 as minister to the 50+. Dorothy has served in Baptist church and denominational life for over 25 years. Most recently she was Associate Director for Mission Service Corps of the Baptist General Convention of Texas.

"My heart is to minister to and with those who are 50+ at Park Cities and in our community in order to make a difference for the Kingdom of God. I believe our ministry is to be a balanced one which includes fun and fellowship events, opportunities to continue to learn, and times of giving and ministering to others. We do this through:

• Weekly Bible study and worship
• Friday Fest Lunches and Dinners (3rd Friday monthly)
• Movie and game days
• LifeTime seminars of interest to 50+ers
• Annual fall retreat
• Involvement in and giving to mission projects
• In Home Ministry
• Legacy Ministry (video oral histories)
• Many other ways
  

Dorothy and her husband, Tom, have been members of Park Cities since November, 1998. Tom serves as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and committee member. They have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren, all of which live in the Dallas area.
