
Dr. Brad Schwall is the Director of Community Connections at Park Cities Baptist Church. He developed HomeWorks, a program of family-enriching resources and created and wrote Cool Kids, a curriculum for children that teaches children social and emotional skills that encourage character development. Cool Kids and HomeWorks have been used as a outreach tools for Park Cities Baptist Church in multiple public school districts since 1999. Dr. Schwall is featured in regular news segments on parenting on Dallas/Fort Worth's ABC affiliate, WFAA-TV. He has written two books, The Parenting Survival Guide, with Dr. Nell Bush, and Blueprints: A Guide to Parenting at Each Age and Stage.
Dr. Schwall's educational background includes a bachelor's degree in education from Baylor University and a doctorate in pastoral psychotherapy from Garrett Theological Seminary on the campus of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He completed the clinical residency in pastoral psychotherapy and served as a staff therapist at the Pastoral Counseling Center in Dallas before going to develop the HomeWorks program at Park Cities Baptist Church in 1999.
Most importantly, Dr. Schwall uses his experience as a husband and father of two children, Sam and Grace, to inform and inspire his creative and realistic outlook on parenting and family life.
